A great many Kent jobs are too big for a car and far too small for a removal — a room, a single piece, an auction lot with a collection deadline. That is what this is, and it always comes with two people.
What it is
A van and a crew who load it. The wrapping is the same wrapping used on a full house move — blankets on upholstery, corners protected, straps in the back so nothing shifts on the M20. The only difference is scale.
What it is not is van hire with a driver attached. If you want to do the carrying yourself, hiring a vehicle is cheaper and we will say so rather than take the booking.

Collections, which are half of it
Kent has an unusual number of salerooms, reclamation yards and architectural dealers, and a good share of man-and-van bookings never involve your house at all. An auction lot that has to be off the premises by a deadline. A reclaimed fireplace. A dresser bought online from a seller in Sussex.
For those, send the collection address, the lot or invoice reference, and whatever window the seller has given you. Reclaimed stone and cast iron are heavier than they look — say what it is, because two people and a van is not the same as two people, a van and a sack truck.

Once you are past a room or two of furniture. A man-and-van booking made to save money on a whole flat becomes three trips and a long day, and it costs more than the removal would have. We will tell you which side of that line you are on when you describe the job.

Anywhere in the county for the short work, and out of it for collections and single-item deliveries. A one-item run to London or Sussex is ordinary; further afield is a question of the run rather than the job.

Is it one person or two?
A driver plus a crew member on anything with furniture in it. One person cannot safely carry a wardrobe down a Medway terrace staircase, and pretending otherwise damages backs and door frames.
Will you help carry?
Carry, wrap, load and unload. This is not van hire with a driver who watches you struggle — if that is what you want, hiring a van is cheaper and we will say so.
Can you collect from auctions and reclamation yards?
Constantly, and Kent has plenty of both. Send the address, the lot or invoice reference and the collection window the seller has given you, and we will work to it.
Do you take single items across the county?
A sofa, a dresser, a bed, a bookcase. Single-item jobs across Kent are ordinary work and get quoted as such rather than as a miniature removal.
When should we book the full service instead?
Once you are past a room or two of furniture. A man-and-van booking made to save money on a whole flat turns into three trips and a very long day, and we would rather tell you now than at six in the evening.
