Services

What a county firm does, and what it doesn't

Five services, one European arm, and a short list of jobs that belong to somebody else. A firm that claims everything is either very large or not being straight with you.

Period, village and market-town homes

House removals

Full household moves anywhere in the county — oast conversions and Wealden cottages, Victorian terraces in the Medway towns, and the new estates outside Ashford and Maidstone.

What it involves
Schools, catchments and term dates

Family moves

Kent still has grammar schools, and that makes family moves here unusually date-driven. Planned around the term rather than against it.

What it involves
Into and out of the county

Long-distance moves

Kent to the West Country, the North, Scotland and Wales — and the far commoner direction, London and the Home Counties out to a village here.

What it involves
Rooms, studios and collections

Man and van

A driver and a crew member for the jobs that do not need a full removal, including collections from auction houses and reclamation yards across the county.

What it involves
Materials, wrapping, a place to wait

Packing & storage

Full or part packing with our own materials, and storage for the gap between a completion that happened and one that has not.

What it involves

Which one do you need?

A whole property is a house removal, even a small one. A room, a studio or a few pieces is man and van. Anything beyond the county and its neighbours is long distance, which changes the planning rather than the care.

Packing sits on top of any of them and storage sits underneath any of them when dates slip. Neither is an upsell; both are ordinary parts of a move that goes well.

What we send elsewhere

House clearance

Disposing of waste needs a carrier licence we do not hold. We move things and store things; we do not take them away to be got rid of.

Pianos, safes and fine art

Beyond ordinary crating these belong with specialists, and we will point you at one rather than improvise with something irreplaceable.

Purely local work in the town-firm towns

Tunbridge Wells, Folkestone, Whitstable and Herne Bay have their own removals firms. If both ends of your move are in one of those towns, ring them.

Moves with both ends inside London

Permits, red routes and timed bays are a specialism. We will deliver a Kent load into London; a London-to-London move wants a London firm.

Tell us where you are moving and roughly when.

A survey costs nothing and turns an estimate into a written quote. Rooms, access and the dates — that is enough to start.
